Myst.

I had an Auditing lecture at 8am this morning, so as groggy as I was, waking up at 8, I found that it was a bit blurry-looking outside. My first thought: "HAZE!1!"

Turns out it was a misty morning.

Luckily I wore three layers out (well, three and a half, if you count the singlet I was too lazy to take off), and as I was running across the highway (and panting like mad), I was spouting mist! Whee! Like on TV, when it's cold and people are wearing heavy trenchcoats and mist (I know 'mist' doesn't sound really right, but for the lack of a better word... someone enlighten me, please) comes out of people's mouth when they talk. And I was on the phone while walking back, and seriously, the cold was biting into my hand (the one holding the cell phone) so much that I had to switch hands every other minute and shove the colder one into my jacket pocket.

It was totally awesome, I must say. Cold as hell, but way awesome.

In other news, the Uni bookshop's having a sale, so I went to check out what books they had. They were selling a hardcover Terry Pratchett's Thud, but even after the 20% discount, it still costs $17, which, after conversion, equals RM50. Which is really too much for me. My mom's already kicking my ass for spending so much on Harry Potter 7.

Then I saw The Crime Code, by Michael Cordy, selling for $5. Summary looks interesting: Putting a stop to crime by genetically altering caught criminals so they don't become repeat offenders. As usual, there's always the person with the token ulterior motive. I read the back, and it states "Praise for The Messiah Code." So I thought, "Then I should be getting The Messiah Code instead," but there wasn't any around. Actually opening the book (to find out more about the author) led me to the fact that The Messiah Code was formerly known as The Miracle Strain. Which I've read. And which is a fantastic book that I love. Really thick, but good. So I bought it, since books like these retail back home for at least RM30. Cordy wrote another book called The Lucifer Code (Yes, I know, the Codes are glaringly obvious), which seems WAAYY more interesting, since it's about life and death, and the existence of heaven and hell (ya know, the usual), but they're not stocking it at all. Not even for $5. They also have The Venus Conspiracy, but as interesting as the summary may look (about manipulating human emotions using chemical drugs), there wasn't any comment about it in the back of The Crime Code (the ones that advertise Other Books By The Same Author and heap massive praise onto said books).

I have a Stephen King novel I've yet to finish (plodding rather slowly through Bag Of Bones, only fitting, since it's a REALLY slow ghost story), but I've finally finished Clive Barker's The Great And Secret Show! Fantastic book, now I've to find a cheap copy of Everville.
