Iron Man (2008)

Almost didn't make it for the movie on June 1st; I told Ying Ying that the cut-off point was at 3.45pm, since the movie started at 4.10pm. If the landlady didn't come by then, she and Shekar should just go on without me.

Luckily for me, the Rent Lady came at 3.35pm.

We were late for the trailers, but we weren't late for the movie proper. Whee.

Iron Man IS as good as they say it was. Or maybe I'm easily impressionable. Either way, one of the reasons why I found Iron Man such a bundle of fun was because of Robert Downey Jr. Honestly, without him, the movie won't be that good, since Downey Jr practically deadpans everything, and made Tony Stark this really cocky and sarcastic dude. And yes, after watching this movie, I am officially in love with Robert Downey Jr.

Spoilers ahead:

One of the best lines from the movie is the bit near the beginning:

Reporter: You've been called the Da Vinci of our time. What do you say to that?
Tony Stark: Absolutely ridiculous, I don't paint.

Oh yes, word of advice: There is a scene after the credits, and for those of you well-versed with the Marvel Universe, it's big news.
